Art Plus Digital Photo Recovery 3.0 [via gHacks blog post Photo Recovery Software] can recover images from a memory card. If you have ever accidentally deleted photos from a card or formatted the card, you know how valuable such a program is. Or it can help you out if your memory card is corrupt because you, for example, took the card out before the camera was done writing the image.
Art Plus Digital Photo Recovery 3.0 is free, and it works on Windows 95 and newer.
Lexar’s Image Rescue also recovers images. It comes in both Windows and Mac versions. It costs $33.99. I have seen it bundled with Lexar memory cards a few years back; I don’t know if they still do that.
SanDisk has their RescuePro program for both Windows and Mac. It sells for $40.
